Retouching That Still Looks Like You

The most common complaint we hear about retouched photos from elsewhere is that the person no longer looks like themselves. Skin turned into plastic, jawlines reshaped, eyes brightened until they glow. It looks impressive on a phone screen for about two seconds and terrible in a printed album forever.

Our rule is simple: temporary things go, permanent things stay. A spot that will be gone next week gets removed. A mole, a scar or a laugh line does not, unless you specifically ask. Skin keeps its texture. The result is a photograph you will still be happy with in fifteen years.

Restoring Old Photographs

This is some of the most rewarding work we do. People bring in photographs from the 1960s and 70s — cracked, water-damaged, faded to yellow, sometimes torn in half. Often it is the only surviving picture of a grandparent.

We scan the original at high resolution, rebuild the damaged areas, correct the fading and print a new copy. The original is returned to you untouched. We can also colourise black and white photographs, which families frequently order as a gift.

E-commerce and Product Editing

Online marketplaces have strict image requirements, and listings get rejected over things sellers do not expect — a background that is off-white rather than pure white, a shadow crossing the frame edge, inconsistent product sizing between images.

We prepare product images to marketplace specification: clean white backgrounds, consistent scale and margins, correct file dimensions, and colour that matches the actual product so customers do not return items because they looked different online.

Album Design

An album is not a folder of photographs, it is a sequence. Which image opens it, which ones get a full spread, how the day flows from one page to the next — those choices are what make an album worth keeping on a table rather than in a cupboard.

Our designers lay out every album by hand. You see a digital proof, request changes, and only then does it go to print. Most albums go through one or two rounds of revisions before approval.
